This year, the party was designed by Brian Worley from Your Bash! who counts himself among Fluffpop’s legion of diehard fans & supporters.

HER STORY: Get to Know Fluffpop’s CEO, Yasmeen Tadia

Fluffpop is proud to be a diverse, female-owned company. We thought it especially fitting to begin regularly acknowledging other female biz owners with amazingly sweet companies too. We would be remiss, however, if we didn’t acknowledge our very own fearless leader,Yasmeen Tadia.

The former hotelier and HR consultant recently made front page news of the SMU Cox School of Business newsletter. Click here to check out the feature. The entrepreneurial vision behind this sugary pouf came in the quest for a reasonably healthy candy alternative for her son, but Tadia’s professional experience since graduating from SMU Cox has given her the confidence to turn her not-so-fluffy vision into reality.

IN THE KITCHEN: Candy Cane White Chocolate Mousse

As we approach yet another fun-filled holiday season, we all look for creative ways to set our holiday party apart from the rest. Paired with a simple white chocolate mousse, Candy Cane, Fluffpop’s newest flavor creation, will do just that! Our very own Chef Antonia shares her special recipe for a dessert that will have your guests coming back for more.

ImageINGREDIENTS:

Serves 6

9 oz – White Chocolate

1/4 cup – Milk

1 1/2 tsp – Peppermint Essence

3 – Large Eggs, separated

1.5 cups – Heavy Cream

To decorate – red food coloring, candy cane sticks, crushed candy canes for rim of glass

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Heat chocolate and milk in large metal bowl placed over pot of simmering water until chocolate is melted and mixture smooth. Remove from heat, and stir in peppermint extract.
2. Meanwhile, beat egg whites and salt with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Add sugar, and beat until stiff peaks form.
3. Stir 1 cup egg-white mixture into chocolate mixture until smooth. Fold remaining egg-white mixture into chocolate mixture with spatula until no white streaks remain.
4. If making the pink and white layers, place half the mixture in a separate mixing bowl and fold in food coloring until just combined. Spoon alternating amounts of pink and white mousse into six 1/2-cup capacity serving glasses. Chill for 3-4 hours or overnight in the fridge. To serve, top with whipped cream (made from heavy cream) and a sprinkle of crushed candy canes.

Here at Fluffpop, we are all about making things a bit sweeter. We are a gourmet cotton candy company, specializing in unique, organic, and even gluten-free flavors. Today we want to share one of our favorite desserts with you, but with our own added touch of elegance to this specific recipe.

This recipe is perfect for any social gathering you may have to mix up your dessert routine.

The Cupcake:

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Easy Cream Cheese Frosting

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375° F. Line a standard 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture and mix until incorporated.
  3. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups. Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes. Transfer the cupcakes to a wire rack and let cool before frosting.

The Frosting:

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce bar cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

Directions

  1. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Add the sugar and beat until fluffy. If necessary, slightly chill the frosting to stiffen it before using. Use with Easy Yellow Cupcakes.

Finally, turn your cupcake into a FLUFFCAKE! Make sure you only put very little icing on the top because as the icing is not the sole topping for the cupcake, but rather is used as edible glue for your Fluffpop topping! It’s the perfect alternative to having icing on a cupcake since it adds the unique element of texture and color! We believe the perfect flavor(s) to pair with a yellow cupcake is our sparkling strawberry or butterscotch flavor!

Also, peppermint can have a calming effect, which is perfect for those extremely long and stressful days. We have a great recipe for you to help calm any stressful day or just to enjoy a delicious cup of tea.

Peppermint Fluffpop with Citrus Tea!

This recipe makes 4 servings:

3 tea bags (Choose your favorite)

1 quart of boiling water

1 jar of “The Mini Mason” Fluffpop in Sugar-free Peppermint

1/2 large lemon, sliced into 1/4-inch slices

1 bunch fresh mint, washed

2 cups cold water

Start by boiling the 1 quart of boiling water. Once it comes to a boil add your favorite tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 20 minutes. Pour the brewed tea into your favorite pitcher. Add the lemon, mint, and sugar-free peppermint Fluffpop cotton candy until it completely dissolves. Once the cotton candy is dissolved, add 2 cups of cold water. Strain the mint leaves before you serve it. Finally, add a small garnish of our sugar-free peppermint Fluffpop cotton candy on top of your favorite glass before serving.
